The Granliden Waterfront

The Granliden waterfront area consists of a 150 foot sandy beach, a lawn for sunbathing, the Boathouse, and our Marina. There are also racks for small boats like canoes and Sunfish.

Our Marina consists of 33 slips, and 18 moorings. These are for the exclusive use of Granliden owners. The boat house has lockers and restroom facilities on the ground floor, and a large meeting room on the second floor. The second floor also boasts a 12 foot by 60 foot deck that overlooks the docks and mooring field.

The lawn area is separated from the sandy beach by a stonewall that has a large built in fieldstone Barbecue grill. This is the site of after golf cookouts, and evening barbecues. When not hosting a community event, this area is open for the enjoyment of the Granliden owners.Beach gathering

The sandy beach gently slopes into the water, and the swimming area is marked with bouy lines for safety. The beach has a lifeguard on duty daily throughout the summer season.

In the past, the MV Mount Sunapee II and the MV Kearsarge have docked at Granliden to take private parties out on the lake. In the days when the Granliden Hotel was in operation, in the early part of this century, large steam boats were used on the lake for passengers, freight and mail. In those days up to four steamers a day stopped at Granliden Also, the Granliden launch "Greycourt" was berthed at Granliden's wharf. These docks now have boats that belong to Granliden On Sunapee owners.
